Vacation Bible School

Join us June 16-20, 2025 for Wonder Junction Vacation Bible School!

Wonder Junction

Howdy, partners! Welcome to Wonder Junction! There’s no greater joy than to praise the name of the Lord all day long. But how can yer kids do that if they don’t know who Jesus is or what He’s done for them?

Here at Wonder Junction, we marvel at Jesus and live for His glory. Your child(ren) will find answers to these questions, and more:

  • What amazing events surrounded the King’s birth?

  • Was there ever a person born who was more important than Jesus?

  • What was Jesus like as a child?

  • Is Jesus God or man—or both?

  • What astonishing things occurred during Jesus’ ministry and how much power does he have?

  • How was Jesus’ death and resurrection like no other?

  • Could Jesus experience pain and sadness?

  • What should we be doing while we wait for the King to return?

  • Is Jesus going to be a man forever?

Wonder and amazement will await us each day at Wonder Junction, where kids will gather at the All Aboard Assembly, a high-energy beginning that includes wacky intros, overview of the day's events, and prayer. Then they rotate through five fun sites:

  1. High Point Bible Time LESSONS: During the lesson time, explorers will be amazed to discover who Jesus is and what he’s done for us.

  2. Sweet Sadie’s SNACKS: Explorers munch on some downright tasty home-cooked vittles.

  3. Gallopin’ Gabe’s GAMES: At this rambunctious rec time, kids might just get plumb tuckered out.

  4. Carpenter Joe’s SCIENCE or CRAFTS: Explorers get their hands dirty as they make crafts or explore God’s world through science experiments.

  5. Miss Millie’s MUSIC & VERSES: Explorers sing songs, learn their memory verses, or go in depth with the Mission Moment.

Attendance and participation counts! So, be on the lookout for cool contests throughout the week, as well as two dress-up nights:

  • Tuesday night is "Decade Day" — Children may come dressed in clothes from the last century (1920s-1990s)!

  • Thursday night is "Western Day" — Children are encouraged to dress in western attire (bandanas, plaid shirts, chaps, cowboy/cowgirl boots or hats, pioneer dresses, bonnets, or sheriffs’ badges). Please note that toy guns or weapons are not allowed.

Teens/Adults who want to participate in a nightly service can meet in the Sanctuary at 9:50-11:20 am. Games for Teens/Adults will be located on the side lawn of the church.

Ministry Collection

We will have a fun competition between the boys and the girls to benefit a local ministry, Living Hope Pregnancy Resource Center located in Whiteville, NC. We will be playing the Penny Weight Game. Each morning, the boys and girls will bring in their pennies and whoever has the most weight of ALL THOSE PENNIES by the end of the week (girls or boys) will have an opportunity to win a great prize! So, start saving those pennies!

Don’t have any pennies? Don’t worry! Our General Store at Wonder Junction can turn those nickels, dimes, quarters, and various dollars in to pennies.
