Why heaven is so precious
Our Redeemer is in Heaven
“For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us.” - Hebrews 9:24 | “But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, and said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.” - Acts 7:55-56
Heaven is heaven simply because Jesus is there!
Our Relationships are in Heaven
“to the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect.” -Hebrews 12:23
We will be able to find our family and friends in heaven!
Our Resources are in Heaven
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you.” - 1 Peter 1:3-4
We have an inheritance from God our Father that will never run out!
Our Residence is in Heaven
“For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.” - Philippians 3:20 | “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God… Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.” - John 3:3,7
God is the only source of life for all living things. We have been born from above; all life originates in heaven!
Our Reward is in Heaven
“Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.” - Matthew 5: 12
The rewards we earn on earth, we can then give back to our Savior in Heaven!
Our Riches are in Heaven
“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” - Matthew 6:19-21
Invest on earth only the things which can be transferred up to heaven: souls!
Our Reservation is in Heaven
“And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.” - Revelation 21:27 | “not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are therunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.” - 1 Peter 3:9 | “Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.” - Luke 10:20
Once the Spirit seals you, your name cannot be removed from the Lamb’s Book of Life!
